So you really want to know about me?


Ok! Well I'm a twenty something year old writer and poet who's got a bit of a travel bug. I love to explore the world and all it's beauty but I also love to capture moments and emotions with words that will penetrate deep into the heart.  My inspiration comes from anywhere which is why I love travelling so much. Born in Kinshasa,DRC raised in London, I have a strong love for Africa and I really want to break down the negative narratives that it has by showing it's beauty whether through words or pictures  but I also want to show the reality of it.

I try, through poetry to raise awareness to campaign against the conflict minerals in the Democratic Republic of Congo and raise the public awareness on the situation in the country. In the words of Paul Robeson 'My art is a weapon in the time of my people's struggle...'

I'm a proud Congolese and I hope to capture the voice of second generation African women living in the diaspora through some of my posts  in this blog, I'm all for the sisterhood and female empowerment but not forgetting the importance of our male counterparts.
